I'm very sorry to learn of your mother's poor health. Even though my parents died well over a decade ago – one after a long illness, the other suddenly – I know that the illness of a parent is a time of trial and suffering for the entire family. You and Lois are very lucky to have had the benefit of your mother's experience throughout your adult lives. Not a day goes by that I don't wish that I could speak with my parents. But, I can't agree with you that the public does not have the right to question the private actions of public officials. As we've recently seen with Governor McGreevey, the real mistake is in NOT scrutinizing every facet of the lives of those in power. The cure for BAD INFORMATION is GOOD INFORMATION, NOT CENSORSHIP! Anthony Olszewski : One can only imagine how distasteful it is to read about your 87 year old Mom on this cesspool of a message board. my Mom entered Cusack Center last year after suffering thru both a serious injury and an illness. She entered as a non-medicaid patientas there were and still are open beds at this great facility. In fact they have asked us to distribute their pamphlets to help attract new clients. Any child who is faced with the decision of placing a parent in a nursing home, as my sister and I have, knows how heart wrenching that decision is. To have this used as political fodder to score points in an election I am not even a candidate in is the act of an anonymous coward. This is a one time response as I will not enter this sty again. I have supplied my personal email for anyone wishing any intelligent discourse on this or anything else.BTW, Dan Battista's mom passed awy several decades ago. Where exactly is the line we are not suopposed to cross? Tom : : I think I'll send this post to the Star Ledger, JJ and Reporter. : : : : : NOW ITS DO-NOTHING BATISTA'S MOTHER WHO JUMPED TO THE HEAD OF THE LINE TO GET INTO ST. JOSEPH'S HOME, JOINING TOMMY DEGISE'S MOTHER. : : : IS THERE A QUID PRO QUO GOING ON HERE? : : : ARE TAXPAYERS MONEY BEING USED TO SUBSIDIZE THE LIFE-STYLES OF THOSE IN POWER? : : : PETER HARVEY, ITS TIME YOU VISITED HUDSON COUNTY. : : :
