The story of McCann trashing the Mayor's office was when he did the first stage exit after losing the election to Tony Cucci.

The story I heard was that the rugs were soaked in urine. To add insult to injury, a lemon was left in a drawer in the Mayor's desk with a note pinned to it with these parting words of advice: S.UCK ON THIS!

I wasn't there. I have no idea if these stories are true. If the facts are incorrect, then it's a myth that's become part of the fabric of Jersey City life.

: I worked in city hall when McCann was tossed out on his rear. I was in and out of the Mayor's suite moving boxes that week. (Helping Marilyn Roman move in). No one destroyed files or super glued any locks on doors or urin ated on any carpets. That's nothing but rumors.

: McCann left, but his staff stayed on under Mayor Roman. So the rumors you started years ago were garbage then...and are still garbage now. I am no fan of Gerry McCann. But there are a lot of "real" things he did that are enough to feather him with, we don't need to add lies on top of all of it.

: : McCann is the same guy when outgoing Mayor destroyed public files in the Mayor's office then super glued the locks to the mayors office and in a final act of defiance, uri nated on the rugs before he was thrown out on his rear end.

: : And now he's Manzo Campaign confidant and Assembly Chief of Staff.
