Piatkowski For Congress October 3, 2004 Contact: Kerry Insensitive To Victims of Communism Today Republican Congressional candidate, Richard Piatkowski, condemned John Kerry for insulting the victims of Communist oppression throughout the world. John Kerry invited attorney Gregory Craig to join the Kerry for President campaign staff. Craig, by representing the father of Elian Gonzalez, acted as Fidel Castro’s lawyer. This Washington insider, with the support of the Clinton Administration, gave the tyrant of Cuba, Fidel Castro, access to US courts and US law enforcement. Because of Gregory Craig, Castro enjoyed the benefits of our Nation’s due process while JoAnne Chesimard, convicted in the murder of a New Jersey State Trooper, continues to avoid justice through the protection of Cuban Communism. “Right here in the United States, many, many Cubans, Poles, Ukrainians, Russians, and other Eastern European émigrés, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Cambodians fled the horrors of Communism, said Piatkowski. John Kerry doesn’t care about their suffering and the suffering their loved ones still endure. Is this yet another Kerry-Kennedy link? Should we expect Kerry to follow John Kennedy’s Bay of Pigs example? Should we expect a flip of hard talk followed by a flop of cowardice -- while heroes die and innocents live as slaves?” Candidate Richard Piatkowski urges Congressman Menendez to join him in demanding that John Kerry remove Gregory Craig from the campaign. “Robert Menendez deserves praise for standing at the forefront of the fight against Castro’s enslaving the Cuban People. Menendez needs to tell fellow Democrat Kerry that CRAIG MUST GO!”
