State appeals court agrees to hear his case for spot on mayor ballot

A state appeals court has agreed to consider the case of Jersey City Police Chief Ronald Buonocore, who was knocked off the Nov. 2 ballot for mayor by a trial judge who found that he failed to meet the residency requirement to run.

Meanwhile, the man who brought the case against Buonocore, state Assemblyman Louis Manzo, who is also a candidate for mayor, is calling for the chief to be fired.
