Jersey City
At their reorganization meeting here on June 9, The Jersey City Reform Democratic Committee elected Willie Flood to its Chair. A full roster of other officers
were also installed. The reorganized committee’s first official act was to file suit challenging the reorganization of the Hudson County Democratic Organization.
A Reform Democratic Committee spokesperson said that “We are now clearly the official body. They acted improperly electing a new chairman because their vote was taken
before the election result was certified, they did not have a quorum, and they did not give proper notice. They are trying to steal this election the same way Doria stole the
election last year from Melba Walsh. She won the machine vote but after their challenge absentee ballots swung it for Doria’s team. This time it will not work because it is
not even close. ”
First Vice Chairperson is Mike Manzo. Second Vice Chair is Jeff Dublin. Third Vice Chair is Louis Artificio. Fourth Vice Chair is Richard Boyse.
Phil Kenny was elected Secretary. Bobby Jackson was elected Treasurer. Tom Tobias was elected Sargeant at Arms. Frank Lorenzo was elected Pariliamentarian. Maureen
Cochrane is to be special assistant to Chairperson Willie Flood.
