Blind Gate [Definition]

Blind Gate is for people who have political influence to receive a special exemption for elderly family members to gain entry into St. Joseph's Home for the Blind.

There is a system of political influence exerted by the DeGise Administration of breaking the rules and jumping ahead of all others on the waiting list.

And this influence is not limited to just Tom DeGise's mother. County insider Anthony Amabile and his partner, Bette Spinelli, successful got Spinelli's late mother into St. Joseph's as well.
The Amabile-Spinelli team rake in over $300,000 per year in county pay and contracts. You would think they would have given up the perk of getting Spenelli's mothers into St. Josephs ahead of the average working family.

The only good guy on the DeGise Spinelli team is Councilmen Bill Gaughan who recently raised over $50,000 for our beloved St. Josephs.

Gaughan 'walks with Jesus'.
