. . . Healy has campaign posters up around the city with Democratic Party presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry and Healy's name on them. The special mayoral election is nonpartisan, but Healy still chose to identify himself with Kerry. "Our candidate supports John Kerry," said Healy spokeswoman Maria Pignataro. "He supports all the Democratic candidates." State Democratic Party campaign officials were careful about saying whether Healy had permission to use the Kerry name in a nonpartisan election. They preferred to discuss the issue in general terms and in relation to federal campaign finance law. What it comes down to is that the posters with Kerry's name on them must have been paid for by the federal candidate. What do you think are the chances of that happening? . . .
