I was walking down Bergen Avenue just by the Post Office when I spotted a table with a KERRY FOR PRESIDENT sign. As it was so close to Congressman Menendez's office, my first thought was that this was an HCDO effort. I was sorta surprised, for there seemed to be a lot of books on display.

When I got a closer, I saw that the sign also said LAROUCHE ENDORSES KERRY.

I offered the two Larouche-ites GETNJ fliers. One declined. The other took one and said "Oh wow, Hudson County was the home of the Cubana Gusana!"

I asked for an explanation of Cubana Gusana and got something back about it was the Bay of Pigs version of Chalabi.

I inquired if they had set their table up just down the block from Congressman Menendez's office on purpose. They were aware of the location of the office. But, that didn't seem to be why the particular place was chosen.

The Larouche-ites mentioned that they were beset by a number of crazy people. A group of Fundamentalist Christians had just been by trying to convince them that war in the Middle East was required to spark the Rapture. I told the Larouche representative that the downfall of every conman was falling for their own line. In this manner, conmen become lunatics. Here and there, a lunatic will reverse the process by learning to survive as a conman.
