Judge OKs witness list in case against former McGreevey aide

NEW YORK - A District Court judge signed an order approving the government's list of potential witnesses in its insider trading case against Gary Taffet, a former top aide to Gov. James E. McGreevey.
Included on the list approved Thursday by Judge Shira Scheindlin are several high profile Democrats, including developer Charles Kushner, a top donor who has been charged in a separate federal obstruction case; George Norcross, a prominent behind-the-scenes player in Democratic Party politics in southern New Jersey; state Assembly Majority Leader Joseph Roberts (D-Camden); former McGreevey aide Paul Levinsohn and Assemblyman Louis Manzo (D-Hudson), whose brother admitted to tipping Taffet to the insider stock tips.
