Its a bit shameful that Gerry never did admit guilt to any of the 18 counts that put him behind bars. He denied his guilt right to the end of his trial, through his sentencing, through his incarceration, and now that he's out..its the same old Gerry. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks...like honesty, fair play, and most of all..integrity. And the greater the role McCann has in Manzo's Assembly Office and now his campaign, the less respect I have for Lou Manzo. But then.... Healy has McCann's old Chief of Staff Buddy Demellier working for him. And no one can tell me that Demellier isn't cut from the same cloth as McCann. So where do we look for leadership in this town? Harvey has failed us. Lipsky.... well he's just Lipsky. And Willie...lacks leadership qualities. What do we have to do to find new blood in JC? : I would add only one thing to it. As Gerry McCann has supposedly "paid his debt to society" as Mayor Smith recent put it at a debate, it would only stand to reason that McCann would be sorry for his actions and would find the inner peace to not continue doing things the way he did them in the past. His current efforts with the supposed photo shows that he might have served time but he has not really "paid his debt to society". I submit for your opinion that he is sorry that he got caught but not sorry for the crime he committed. His continuing mis-deeds show that he will continue to hit below the belt without blinking an eye so I can only surmise if put into a position of public trust, he would violate it without a second thought. : : I completely agree with you about a lot of what you say here. The hate and BS name calling has to stop. Its degrading to the people who visit this site and who participate, or try to participate in the process here. But you have to remember a few things before you seek to convert us to Manzo supporters. : : Manzo is not only giving Gerry another chance, he is relying on him to do the dirty work in his campaign. Those "revealing" Healy pix...are McCann's doing. Not what I would call a stand-up campaign maneauver. And the divisive dialog driving a wedge between parts of our City.... that's McCann too. Remember...he was the one nailed by the courts for trying to supress the black vote back in 89. And if he had the chance today...he'd do it again. : : Its cool to give someone another chance if that person has changed his ways. But Gerry is the same old Gerry. And Louie is now crawling into the mud by letting McCann run the "Dirty Ops" part of his campaign. : : I judge people by who they choose as allies. So McCann's dirt is Manzo's dirt. No two ways about it. And this time it will cost Manzo the Mayor's race, and probably his Assembly next year. : : : I’m not just talking about just the hate for McCann im talking about all this hate. In this chat room. You should all be ashamed of yourselves all you read is this one is gay this one is a drunk and so on… Me personally. I don’t like McCann! But im not going to take it out on Manzo. Lou is a good man and will do a good job as Mayor as he has as freeholder and now as Assemblyman.
