NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The former North Bergen township administrator was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for accepting cash and free home improvements from a vendor who did business with the Hudson County township.

Joseph Auriemma, 55, must also repay $33,792 to the township, the value of the benefits he received, and pay a $7,500 fine. He was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge Joseph A. Greenaway Jr.
