I beg to differ. In the past (for mutual interest from what I understand), the HCDO and the JCDO were one and the same. Now that the "Jersey City" leaders are looking for individuality and independence, they are no longer one and the same - as it should be. There are 12 municipalities and 1 county. Leading Democrats outside of JC are a little tired of watching Jersey City's leaders bash each other and make the County Organization a laughing stock. Jersey City's elite have used this race to distance themselves from the Congressman and Sen. Kenny. In return (contrary to some real stupid and naive posts on this site), the HCDO IS NOT backing anyone in this race. And why should it? If they pick the winner, what do they get? NOTHING. If they support a loser, they make unnecessary enemies. Let's just hope ALL Democrats can get back together after this race, regardless of the winner. It is time to put personal differences aside, air the dirty laundry in private (not with the press) and return to state-wide prominence as in years past.
