Visit us on the World Wide Web at: FOR RELEASE: Immediate CONTACT: Jim Manion KENNY TO SENIORS AND DISABLED: FILL OUT YOUR REBATE FORMS HOBOKEN - Senate Majority Leader Bernard F. Kenny Jr. today reminded eligible seniors and disabled residents in his 33rd Legislative District to fill out their applications this month for the FAIR property tax rebate. "The new FAIR rebate program requires that eligible recipients fill out an application form that was being mailed out last week by the State Treasury Department," Senator Kenny said. "Those with questions may call my office for assistance." The new FAIR program replaces the NJ SAVER and Homestead rebate programs and is available to seniors and disabled residents who have a gross annual income below $200,000 and have owned and occupied a home or rented a residence in New Jersey since October 1, 2004, Senator Kenny said. "The completed appplication must be returned to the State Treasurer's office by June 1st," Senator Kenny said. He added the applications may be filed online at www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation or by phone at 877-658-2972. "Eligible seniors who are homeowners can receive up to $800 and tenants can receive up to $775," Senator Kenny said. "That's something no one who is eligible should miss out on." He said further questions can be directed to his legislative office at 201-653-1466. #
