Yes, there was some opposition to the "mainstream" candidates, which probably came from the educated voters. BUT, have we so few educated voters?

And the same frustrations occur in this election as in every other: he who spends the most $$$ wins (usually); independents simply cannot win b/c they do not have the $$$; independents dilute the opposition vote and bring each other down while the $hit for brains politicians watch the gladiators kill each other and have another drink...
