Jersey City Mayor Wins; Hoboken Heads for Runoff By JEFFREY GETTLEMAN New York Times HOBOKEN, N.J., May 10 - The mayor of Jersey City cruised to re-election on Tuesday night, though his ally and fellow incumbent in Hoboken failed to get enough votes to avoid a runoff. Both Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy of Jersey City and Mayor David Roberts of Hoboken had the backing of the formidable Hudson County Democratic Party and enjoyed big advantages in ground troops and financing. But despite their efforts to get out the vote, voter turnout was much lighter than expected.
