: At last night meeting the MAYOR and Board of Commissioner not liking the citizens of Union City questioning his decision, he brought in Phil Yacovelli ( Rememebr him from Washinghton School Yard ?) and Sandman , both city employees as deputy directors being paid by taxpayers money to straight everything out. Phil Iacovelli mission was to harrass Frank Scarafile , who paid no attention to him for the entire meeting , when that did not work he moved on to another citizen, when that did not work- at the end of the meeting- Iacovelli began harrassing Luis Ruiz, another citizen there to ask budgetary question. The meeting ended and Phil Yacovelli stepped purposly on Luis Ruiz foot. When Mr. Ruiz asked him to please be carefull- Phil Yacovelli struck Mr. Ruiz with a Punch- This all while the mayor and Board of Commissioners where presentand watched the harrassment and allowed the arrasment to continue during the entire meeting. At this point another citizen grabbed Yaovelli to separate the now fist fight and Mr. Sandman ( remember him from the numerous failed businesses) threw a chair at the crowd. Struck was a lady, and former Commissioner Yandolino, Luis Ruiz and the gentlemen that was separating the fight. The MAyor at this point started to scream "LOCK THEM UP- ALL THEY DO IS GIVE ME TROUBLE" (as if questioning how the mayor is spending taxpayer money is "Trouble" and the board of commissioner was cheering him on. Meantime also Building Dept Director Martinelli( rememeber him the Rutherford resident and he is the one sleeping with commissioner Bombino as she cheered the rioters on) began enticing a riot by aiding Yacovelli and Sandman.The "N" chief of Police or better yet the "Uncle TOM" followed orders of his leader and arrested "Mr. Ruiz and the gentlemen that was attempting to stop the fight" letting Yacovelli and Sandman untouched. Yacovelli was being held by a policeofficer and was overheard to let him go when the officer replied " Dont even go there" Until the "N" uncle Tom Chief ordered the police officer to release the thug. Sandman and Yacovelli stood there laughing ( great city employees). Fortunately , an attorney was present and escorded the two arrested to Police Headquaters to represent the innocent victims and file counter complaints. The Union City Police Department was uncooperative and was described as being as friendly as the Capetown Police station " during aparthaid in South Africa. The victims substained small injuries , however two where transported to the hospital for evaluations. Former Comm. Yandolino refused first aid and called the entire meeting " A discrace to the city"- This is the mayor tactics in order to "Scare " people . The mayor has a violent past, from stricking then city resident Henry Munker to him throwing a chair to a campain worker back in 86- now he has the deputies doing his dirty work. Mr. Ruiz and the other gentleman have retained council to file yet another claim ( out of the 22 civil rights claim pending against the city and its officials) and have have been overheard that they will file a complaint with the Hudson County Prosecuto'r office and their attorney will be setting up a meeting with Attorney General Chir Christy in Newark.....
