McGreevey handed the Speaker' seat to Sires, not Menendez. Sires started as a Republican, then an Independant and in 2001 he hooked up with the HCDO. Stack has been there all along, with Rudy Garcia and Menendez. But now he has all of the job-giving ability and all the turkey's that he needs to buy the votes. He doesn't even need Menendez for the Hispanic vote because he has all of the Union City Commissioners - who are all Hispanic! Stack will make his move for Mendez's spot whether Corzine wins or loses.
