HOBOKEN - A local activist group filed a lawsuit against Mayor David Roberts Thursday, charging his campaign with violating the city's newly adopted pay-to-play ordinance.

Roy Konray, an attorney for People for Open Government - a group aligned with the mayor's challenger in next week's runoff - said the Roberts campaign and the Hoboken Democratic Party, of which Roberts is chairman, received more than $250,000 from individuals and companies who hold city contracts.
