: : Allow me to clarify one fact inaccurately represented by Mr. Fulop during his interview on your site.  The Newport Waterfront Association ("NWA") is an independent organization, representing the residents of Newport. It has never joined, and at this time, has no intentions of joining with the Downtown Coalition of Neighborhood Associations ("DCNA").  Furthermore, there has been no interaction between our organization and Mr. Fulop since prior to the election, and he certainly has not been involved with any of the issues that we are working on at this time. All issues concerning the city that we know of were directed by us to Councilman Maldonado's office, which has attended to our concerns.

: : Moreover, you should note that Mr. Fulop lacks familiarity with our organization, or on how we operate, and on our relationship with other neighborhood associations in Ward E.  Our president has written to GetNJ.com to request an immediate retraction of this false representation.
