KENNY: THIS IS A BUDGET THAT BENEFITS ALL OF NEW JERSEY

TRENTON - Senate Majority Leader Bernard F. Kenny Jr. issued the following statement today as the Legislature passed the Fiscal Year 2006 Budget:

"The budget we passed today is the most fiscally prudent budgets this State has seen in recent memory.

"By relying on recurring revenues, significant spending cuts and a limited number of one-shot revenues, we have created a budget which puts New Jersey on a stronger financial footing while addressing the needs of New Jersey's taxpayers.

"This is a budget that provides significant tax relief to New Jersey's seniors, tenants and middle class families and leaves the State with a strong surplus without raising the sales tax or cutting essential services in our communities."
