I wonder if Mr Fulop always bails out people with a camera crew following. I'm sure it was the goodness in his heart. Not a political stunt. He came to the Jail at around 2:45pm. The jail is in lock down for the shift going out, and the shift coming in. It has always been this way. Head counts are made by the officers going out and the officers coming in. It is a common practice that if you show up after 2pm to bail someone out, you will wait until 5pm to get them out. If there is a problem with the count, which does happen with 2,000 inmates, you will be waiting longer for the bail to be posted. You don’t post bail and the person is out in 5 minutes. We have to follow policy and procedure. Which is a very long process. Getting a proper ID of the inmate, making sure there are no other charges, no other detainers. I'm not losing my job to rush an Inmate out to please any politician, friend or family member. : Good job boy kick some political butt Mayor 2009.
