Back when my shop was over at the corner of Grand and Center, I used to go to the Pathmark plaza at least a couple times a day. One night, I noticed a car belonging to an individual with a long history of peripheral involvement in Hudson County Politics. The car was parked in front of the liquor store. I started to walk over to say hello. But then I saw a young woman wearing a bikini, a fishnet jump suit, and a smile exiting the liquor store. She was carrying a quart of vodka. She opened the door on the passenger side of the car and got in. I just turned around and walked towards the Pathmark. Needing only a couple of items, I walked over to the express check out line. Standing there was the unusually-clad (unclad?) woman -- now carrying a half-gallon of orange juice. Looking out the big glass window, I saw my friend's car parked just outside the door. Instead of buying the chaser at the liquor store -- in order to save a couple of dollars -- the political insider sent his companion for the evening to the supermarket. As the woman walked away, I smiled and said, "Tell -- that Anthony said hello!"
