Heights Councilman William Gaughan called the Lefrak Organization "bad neighbors" at last week's council meeting and led an effort to table certain street and parking ordinances that would have benefited Newport.

Mayor Jerramiah Healy also expressed disappointment in the LeFraks.

"I am disheartened to learn about this lawsuit, particularly against a nonprofit organization like the Jersey City Museum and its officers, since they provide services, educational information and events that continually benefit the welfare of the Jersey City community," Healy said.
