Racelis Meet the candidates Hudson Reporter There are 34 candidates on the ballot running in the Jersey City municipal election on May 10. Actually, 35 were certified to run by the City Clerk's office as of March 23, but mayoral candidate Melissa Holloway is off the ballot, leaving only two candidates for mayor: incumbent Jerramiah Healy, and attorney Al Pine. There are currently four candidates for the City Council at-large seat; five for Ward A; six for Ward B; four for Ward C; four for Ward D; two for Ward E, and seven for Ward F. Each of the six ward council seats serves a specific region of the city. There is a $24,500 annual salary for the City Council president and $22,500 for the other eight members of the council.
