The ferry was literally a lifesaver on 9/11. Plust, the boat route kept the economies of Jersey City and Manhattan afloat during the many months that the Exchange Place PATH station was closed. For these reasons, we can't allow the ferry to sink.

I am curious why Hudson County is taking the lead. Isn't this a natural extension of the PATH? Will Hudson County get Federal subsidies for running the Ferry?
