The saga continues over the fate of New York Waterway (NYW) ferry service across the Hudson. On Tuesday, December 7, the Hudson County (NJ) Board of Chosen Freeholders held a caucus to debate their bailout of bi-state ferry service. The ordinance calls for authorizing the guaranty of up to $38 million in Lease Revenue Bonds of the Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA) in order to pay off NYW’s outstanding debt, take over their assets and subsequently lease out service to a ferry operator
