: It is unfair and without productivity to blame Jose Arango for every lost that the Republican party has in Hudson County. If you look around the state, the Republican Party is losing ground even on their own turf. It is hard for Jose Arango to convince the old boy’s network to contribute to a heavily democratic county such as Hudson County. Yet Jose Arango and his wife have been able to conduct fundraiser, keep the party active and at least keep it alive. More than that, it will be hard to ask for. And it is not only a problem in Hudson County. Bergen County is struggling to keep their Republican incumbent in Office. Historically, the Republican Party in Hudson County has been just a front to maintain a non-winning opposition for the democratic incumbent and it has been this way before Arango was even born. Arango is extremely popular among the latino community and even democrats. He never change his party affiliation (if he did, he will probably be better off.) Now, if you want Arango to change the establishment in Hudson County, you are asking for the impossible. Schundler could not do it and no one before Arango was able to do it either. The Democrats have resources, grassroots and their incumbent are popular among the residents of Hudson County. Between Arango and his wife they keep a whole organization alive. They do press releases, events, fundraises for the national party, maintain a website, fill the the committee people spot all over Hudson County, recruit candidates to run for office in every distric and more. You have to give them credit for that. Arango is a good guy simple and honest republicans without Arngo no way we need Arango
