If you had a job where people take pot shots at you every day. If you had a job that no matter how well you did it...you came under constant criticism. If you had a job where simply going to work everyday made you a target for some discontent's wrath. If you had a job where not only every person on your block, in your neighborhood, but also every reporter questioned every move you made. If you had a job that was as thankless as serving slop at some soup kitchen....then you might find yourself making a daily trek to the local tavern to numb the sting just a little.

: That many Hudson County politicians favor liquid diets is a constant topic on the Board. Why that's so is a question I frequently ask myself. Voters don't seem to care. As far as that goes, maybe the public PREFERS drinkers in Office!

But the 64,000 dollar question is do you need all that documentation to speak about Councilman William (Bill) Gaughan's problem with alchohal abuse. And if there is a problem you can find proof of evidence at the many local Bar's Bill drinks in.
