The original post was what Bush would think of Jose Arango. My reply was that with Jose as chair, the Hudson GOP margin was better in 2004 than in 2000. The implication is not that 583 Newark Avenue is going to get a coat of red paint any time soon. What one may infer is that if the GOP percentage had gone up in all the other NJ counties, instead of down in some, then Bush might have carried the state.

By the way, Barney, the White House dog is from New Jersey -- a gift from Christine Whitman!
