In a major turn of events, Jersey City Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham regained control of the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency during a number of actions at the JCRA meeting yesterday.
Former chairman, Junior Maldonado was replaced as chair by City Council colleague, Steve Lipski. Maldonado, left the meeting immediately and never returned.
The law firm of Scarinci and Hellenbak was equally removed from any role in the agency. Sue Mack, the executive director, was summarily put on notice that her services will not be required after the next four months. She however, will receive payment to fulfill the obligations of her contract.
