HIGHLAND PARK, 7.7 miles (l00 alt., 8,691 pop.) (see Tour 8),
is L.
At Highland Park is the junction with State 27 (see Tour 8). State
S28 and State 27 are united for 0.4 miles.
State S28 turns R. at the junction and leads across Albany St. Bridge to
the business center of New Brunswick.
The Pennsylvania R.R. Bridge across Raritan River is a fine example of
arch construction in heavy stone, resembling the Roman aqueducts.
