LITTLETON, 15.3 miles (370 alt., 50 pop.), is at the junction with US
202 (see Tour 4). Here are a few cottages, a service station, and several
roadside refreshment stands.
At 15.9 miles the road becomes the American Legion Memorial Highway,
a four-lane concrete roadway with a landscaped center strip. The country
is rougher here, with higher hills and distant views.
Reaching the final grade of Watnong Mt., the road passes at 16.6 miles.
