From the Rural to the Industrial Wood Ridge
WOOD RIDGE, 19.1 miles (190 alt., 5,159 pop.), is a mixture of post-war bungalows, gardens, small truck farms, gas stations and a few dingy
frame houses. One of the few industries is the reclaiming of motion picture film. The first landowners here were the Brinkerhoffs, who came late
in the seventeenth century.
