BRIELLE, 34.2 miles (20 alt., 684 pop.), is at the mouth of Manasquan
River where the stream joins the ocean. It has a large fishing fleet and boat
yards.
At Brielle is the junction with State 4N (see Tour 36).
The route, swinging southeast, crosses Manasquan River over a new concrete bridge. This is an attractive place at high tide, with a shore fringe of
trees shading pleasantly situated homes, and a number of small craft on
the stream.
