COLONIA, 6.9 miles (40 alt., 506 pop.), a small residential town, is
known to its neighbors as an "artistic" settlement. Writers and artists
have tried several experiments in community operation of facilities, including a store, a nursery, and a social hall.
ISELIN, 8 miles (60 alt.), is a village of homes for the middle-class commuter and his family. The place was named for the Iselin family, prominent in New York financial and international yacht-racing circles.
