How is it that a Senate seat becomes chattel to be passed on to one's heirs upon a Senator's demise? Kindly explain this. If this is the case and the seat can be passed along to heirs, what about Glenn's son? Shouldn't he have a crack at it too?

Sandy wasn't elected...it should go to whomever is elected by the majority of the voters. Kindly also advise who these other Senators wives were that "just got it without running for it".
