: Well, your initial post is not very clear at all.  500 people were polled from where???  All wards, some wards?  Does the 3.5% margin of error apply to the mayoral race.  If so, how can you have such a small margin of error with only 500 samples?  Does the power rule come to mind?

: : : Your poll figures are highly questionable.  I am a Statistician, and you know you cannot have a margin of error of only 3.5% with only 500 out of 17,000.  This is crap statistical reporting, and you know it.  And I will not even go into any bias of your sampling techniques and such.  Why post?
