Sorry pal but many who say they're Hoboken YR's or members of the Hoboken Republicans aren't even registered Republicans. So in the mind of this GOPer even calling them RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) is too much of a compliment. Those who call themselves Hoboken YR's should check the National YRs Charter. It states that you must be Republican. These fools haven't even bothered to register Republican. Some haven'te even bothered to register at all. They can't even run for committeeman. I agree with your words though. Its about time someone outed these fools for the posers that they really are. It is no large surprise to me that they are resorting to divisive tactics as you say, because their mere proclamation that they're YR's or Hoboken R's is divisive. THEY ARE NOT REPUBLICAN. I have to hand it to Arango and the leaders of the HUDSON GOP for hanging in there. Some accuse them of working with the Democrats - that's a bad thing I guess. Look at Bush Senior and Bill Clinton heading up all these bipartisan efforts all over the world. Is that bad too? Democrats run this county. The leaders of the Hudson GOp work with them. Well, that is a good thing. At least they have some opinions to offer and they keep involved in government. But they've been slammed for being civil servants. I guess you have to quit when a Democrat gets elected, you cant continue to work for the people that you serve. In the mind of the Hoboken snots, you can only be Republican if you work in new york , make oodles of money, call yourself a yuppie and drink at swanky spots in their square mile town. Well, excuuuuuuse moi! I may not always agree with some of their decisions but I do give them credit for offering me a choice in each election and letting me take a stab at electing a rebulican. Hey these guys may not always win, but the Hudson GOP keeps at it and they deserve some credit for their persistance. I know a lot of people who might have thrown in the towel by now. Keep on going HUDSON GOP! Some REAL Repubicans appreciate your hard work and diligence. : RINO's in Hudson are trying to take down the chairman and the GOP. Their liberal idealogy is that of John Kerry or Bill Clinton; quick to criticize and slow to reslove. Taking every side of an issue pointing out all that is wrong and lunging attacks. You would think I am speaking of the Democratic Party - I am not, I am speaking of a group of RINO's in Hudson County, NJ that want to overthrow their county chairman so that they can take the reigns and continue to endorse liberal Democratic policy. : In a recent non-partisan election this group of neo-liberals hiding behind a Ronald Reagan mask did not bother to endorse the candidate that was endorsed by former Governor Whitman (R-NJ) , but chose to endorse a registered Democrat,Scott Delea, who was the Field Director for Howard Dean's presidential campaign in NJ. : This group from Hoboken try's to paint the picture that they are the answer to an age-old problem in Hudson County Politics - the Democrats. The only thing this group is doing weakening an already-weak county committee. Truth is that they actually take their orders from a Female RINO that reports to non other than the chairman of the Hudson County Democratic Organization - State Senate Majority Leader Bernard Kenny! : The Hudson County GOP administration currently has several of its committee people working in positions of power within the city and County government. This was achieved by making bi-partisan negotiations within a strong Democratic district. : Building coalitions is the only way to fight the Democratic insurgency. Step by step is the only way to achieve a Party healthy enough to win some seats on some city councils and some mayorships in the county. When you have an army of three versus an army of three thousand, you have to choose your battles wisely. In an area like HudsonCounty that is so ethnically diverse and demographically liberal it is challenging to even recruit candidates to run for public office. Case and point: the neo-liberal Hoboken RINO's (as large and strong as they are) only put up one candidate in the last three elections. Moreover, the Hoboken RINO's tried to pull their candidate out of the running for a County Freeholder's seat. : It is easy to stand by the sidelines and criticize others that have been invoved in local politics longer than many of these [Hoboken RINO's] have been alive. The real test is being able to raise money for an election and produce candidates that are willing to fight the good fight. This is the challenge and the Hoboken Rino's have not risen to this challenge, they have cowered behind gossip and slander. : The Hoboken RINO's are trying to bring midwest politics to an urban, progresive east coast city and to date all they have done is built a strong neo-liberal RINO organization that can't turn out a vote, can't turn out any money for the Party (or candidates), and can't even turn out volunteers. The Hoboken RINO's are playing with fire and they are soon to get burnt.
