BELMAR, 28.5 miles (25 alt., 3,491 pop.) (see Tour 36).
South of the bridge State 35 bears R. along Shark River and, rounding
Rhode Island Point, strikes inland again through rolling country and prosperous-looking farms. Here the State highway commission is elaborately
landscaping the roadsides.
At 33.3 miles, at a traffic circle, is the junction with State 34 (see Tour
21). The highway turns sharply L. toward the coast
